Our investigation focuses on the training of the officers involved and the administrative guidance provided by the City Attorney’s office regarding constitutional rights.

Lawton Town Crier investigated a statewide traffic citation coding issue after Elgin PD reported misclassified stop sign violations. Outreach to LPD, City Attorney, Municipal Court, DPS, and state agencies confirmed local review, state-level corrections, and seven improper license suspensions. Aside from LPD PIO, the City of Lawton did not respond.
