Westwin, Open Records, and What Comes Next
Lawton, Okla. — In the days following the December 18, 2025 Lawton Economic Development Authority (LEDA) meeting, a lot has been said online about Westwin and what happened behind the scenes.
Tonight, instead of reacting to rumors or speculation, we slow this down and ground the discussion in the public record.
In this episode, we cover:
- What was requested through an Oklahoma Open Records Act (ORA) request
- How the clarification/narrowing process worked
- The key document and the timeline it reflects (Aug–Sept–Dec)
- Westwin’s public statement and what it does—and doesn’t—address
- Where things stand as we wait for additional comment from the City and LEDA

We requested on-the-record comment from Mayor Stan Booker, LEDA Executive Director Richard Rogalski, and Brad Cooksey. By press time, Rogalski responded and indicated he would seek comment from Cooksey. The Mayor’s Office acknowledged the request and noted Mayor Booker is on holiday leave and scheduled to return Monday, January 5, 2026. Additional comment will be included as received.
