Ward 4 Candidates Face Voters at Lawton–Fort Sill Chamber Forum

The race for Lawton’s Ward 4 City Council seat moved from yard signs to the stage Tuesday night as the Lawton–Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce hosted a public candidate forum at the Hilton Garden Inn & Convention Center.

The event featured the two candidates on the ballot, George Gill and Tiffiney Dimery, answering questions in front of Ward 4 residents and community members from across Lawton–Fort Sill. Doors opened at 6:00 p.m., with the forum beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The forum was sponsored by 7News KSWO and The Lawton Constitution, with Tarra Jones and JJ Francais serving as moderators for the evening. The Chamber organized the event as part of its ongoing effort to connect voters with candidates and encourage civic engagement.

Throughout the night, the candidates responded to a series of questions designed to highlight their priorities for Ward 4 and their vision for the City of Lawton. Audience members had the opportunity to listen, take notes, and consider how each candidate would approach the issues that matter most to local residents.

Lawton Town Crier was on hand to record the full forum, and that video is embedded above so voters who could not attend in person can watch the discussion in its entirety and hear the candidates in their own words.

Events like this give citizens a chance not only to compare the candidates side by side, but also to see how they communicate, interact with the public, and respond under pressure. As Lawton prepares for the upcoming election, forums such as this one help ensure that voters can make an informed decision when they head to the polls.
