About

The Lawton Town Crier

The Lawton Town Crier began as a personal project — a space to track local stories, ask hard questions, and call things like they are. For a while, it sat on the back burner. Life got busy. The world got noisier.

But lately, something shifted.

Too many headlines read like spin. Too much gets buried. And too many people are starting to feel like the truth is something you have to dig for — not something freely given.

So I made a decision.

I brought back The Lawton Town Crier, gave it a new coat of paint, and recommitted to its original purpose: to be a source of news, context, and commentary that puts facts first — and lets them speak for themselves.

This is a local project. But it’s built with national standards: verify, document, and separate news from opinion. Where commentary appears, it’s clearly marked. Where documents are referenced, they’re cited. This isn’t about clicks. It’s about clarity.

👤 What About Me?

You won’t see my name in flashing lights. Not because I’m hiding — but because this isn’t about me.

I don’t need to be the center of the story. That space belongs to the facts, the issues, and the people affected. There’ll be time enough for praise and credit later. For now, the work comes first. Let the receipts do the talking.

If you do want to know more about who’s behind the keyboard, there’s a subpage for that. But the front page? That belongs to the mission.
